The Hubble Ultra Deep Field 2012 (NASA and the European Space Agency)

In this photo, there are 10,000 galaxies. In our own galaxy, the Milky Way, there areas low as 1 billion planets and as high as 8 trillion planets. And that's just 1 galaxy! Seriously!?

Now if you think that's the punchline, it gets better. This photo taken by the Hubble Telescope, makes up just one 26th millionth of the observable sky.

From this, I get a profound sense of awe and realize, in the infinite cosmos with virtually infinite, we are but dust.

From that, I gather, that gee, I shouldn't take life so seriously. Not in a nihilistic way but in a deeply gracious way.

How lucky are we to get this blessing of life. Yet alone have access to electricity and the internet and to have the breathing space to ponder these existential questions. That's a lucky life.

So, if life's just a moment, maybe I ought to laugh a little more. Maybe I ought to bounce back from set backs a little faster. Maybe I ought to embrace this precious moment.

Zoom out, the game we get to play is divine.
